Meet Allyshea

Hi, I’m Allyshea, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a deep respect for the courage it takes to reach out for support. My approach to therapy is relational, relaxed, and rooted in the belief that therapy should feel like a real conversation - one where you’re met with curiosity, compassion, and understanding.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Hons. B.A. in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Windsor.

In our work together, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental environment as you move toward meaningful change.

My practice focuses on individuals (ages 13+) and relationship therapy/dyadic work from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and holistic lens. I’m interested in how you make meaning, how you connect with others, and what kind of life you want to live - on your terms.

Therapy is about creating room for your story, exploring what’s holding you back, and gently uncovering new ways of being that reflect who you truly are.

Whether you come on your own or with someone important to you, this is a space to be heard, supported, and gently challenged — as you move toward the kind of life and relationships that feel more aligned and fulfilling.

“Braided Path” and How the Name Reflects the Work

The name Braided Path reflects and honours my values, beliefs, therapeutic approach, and my Indigenous roots (Red River Métis). The three strands - body, mind and spirit- shape how we experience life, pain, growth, and healing. Braided together, they are stronger than any one strand on its own. Our work together is about supporting your whole self—not just your symptoms or struggles, but the deeper layers of who you are. We tend to all aspects of your being—physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual—recognizing that true wellbeing arises when these elements are in balance.
